Russians' interest in yoga and Pilates classes increased by 45% in 2025


In Russia, interest in yoga classes has grown by 45% this year. On June 20, Avito Services shared such data with Izvestia for the International Yoga Day, which is celebrated on June 21.
It is specified that Omsk began to engage in this practice most of all — there the demand increased 2.5 times. In addition, yoga was more often practiced in Kazan (+100%) and Krasnodar (+90%).
Interest in Pilates has also grown in Russia (+65% over the year) and the gym (+59%). Other similar areas have grown in popularity, including stretching (+12%) and functional training (+12%).
In addition, Russians have become more interested in educational programs on certain practices: the demand for yoga training has increased by 10% in the country, Pilates — by 51%. The courses "Healthy back" and "Stretching" began to be enrolled 26% more often.
On May 2, Izvestia got acquainted with the results of a survey conducted by the federal network of fitness clubs DDX Fitness, which stated that 37% of Russians said that they were prevented from exercising regularly by fatigue (37%) and being busy at work (30%). In addition, laziness was recognized as an obstacle by 20% of the survey participants, and 6% named the lack of funds for classes and the lack of a suitable program.
