The Ministry of Justice recognized publicist Boris Stomakhin as a foreign agent
Publicist Boris Stomakhin was added to the register of foreign agents. This was reported on the website of the Russian Ministry of Justice on June 20.
"Stomakhin disseminated false information about decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies, as well as false information aimed at creating a negative image of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the ministry noted.
It is specified that he opposed the special military operation in Ukraine and participated in the creation and distribution of materials by foreign agents.
With similar explanations, writer Artur Solomonov, LGBT activist (the movement is banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist) Alexander Khmelev, executive director of Memorial (recognized in the Russian Federation as a non-governmental organization and liquidated by the decision of the Supreme Court) were included in the register Anastasia Garina and the Gorbi Media media project.
On June 6, the Ministry of Justice recognized politician Andrei Pivovarov and showman Rustam Solntsev (real name — Rustam Kalganov) as foreign agents. In addition, Memorial's lawyers Violetta Fitzner, Denis Shedov, Natalia Sekretareva and the organization's executive director Elena Zhemkova were included in the list.
