Swiss Fabio Celestini has become the new head coach of CSKA Moscow. This was announced on June 20 by the press service of the Moscow football club.
"The current coaching staff of the Red and blue will also be joined by assistant coaches Manel Exposito, Javier Noya and Jose Blesa," the Telegram channel says.
It is clarified that last season Celestini won the Swiss championship and Cup with Basel. In addition, as a football player, Celestini is known for his games for the Swiss national team, Spanish Getafe and French Marseille.
According to the club's press service, CSKA will begin preparing for the new season under the leadership of Celestini on June 22.
On June 9, Serbian specialist Marko Nikolic left CSKA. In the 2024/25 season, leading the Moscow club, he won the bronze medals of the Russian Premier League (RPL), and also won the Russian Cup.
