The gross domestic product (GDP) in Russia has been adding more than 4% annually over the past two years. This was announced on Friday, June 20, by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"Despite the difficult external background, Russia's GDP has been adding more than 4% annually over the past two years, that is, growth at a rate higher than the global average <...> The growth of Russia's non–oil and gas GDP in 2023 was 7.2%, and in 2024 it was almost five to 4.9%," Putin said.

The President also noted that the contribution of the raw materials component to Russia's economic dynamics is no longer decisive.
