The Science in Faces exhibition opened at SPIEF 2025

With the help of their discoveries, scientists are moving science forward towards Russia's technological leadership. This was announced on June 20 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at the opening ceremony of the Science in Faces exhibition at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
"Science is not faceless, every discovery has its own face, often more than one... Such projects popularize our science through wonderful people," he said.
In turn, Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, called getting to know the biographies of iconic scientists very important from the point of view of involvement in science, and the corresponding exhibition was a brilliant project.
"Science is not only hypotheses, equations, and corresponding formulas, but there is a specific person behind each of the equations and theories," he stressed.
According to Falkov, for young people who are passionate about any branch of science, it is important to understand who developed in this direction before them.
On June 2, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that conditions must be created in Russia for the development of breakthrough scientific fields. According to him, the Russian Federation should not only catch up with the leaders in this field, but also compete successfully with them.
