ROSSETI talked about the work on optimizing the procedures for connecting to the power grid

ROSSETI supports a number of proposals to improve the accessibility of the network infrastructure, which were made within the framework of a working group with the participation of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), including optimizing the procedures for technological connection in the integrated development of territories and improving the issuance of technical specifications. This was stated by the head of the group, Andrey Ryumin, at the SPIEF session on the formation of a national model of targeted business conditions.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov and the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation also spoke at the event organized by ASI. The participants discussed key factors for improving the business climate, including issues of connecting to the electric grid.

Ryumin stressed that ROSSETI supports many proposals in the framework of its work with ASI. "For example, this concerns the optimization of technological connection procedures for the integrated development of territories, improving the procedure for issuing and extending technical specifications," said the head of Rosseti. He also added that it is important to expand the interagency dialogue on this topic.

It was also recalled at the session that, thanks to efforts to increase the availability of energy infrastructure, Russia entered the top ten of the international Doing Business rating in 2020 in terms of "Connection to the electricity supply system."

According to Ryumin, it is also necessary to solve the problems of loading and maintaining the energy infrastructure being built at the request of consumers. The active implementation of preferential connection mechanisms since 2009 has significantly affected the sphere of regulation and the work of network organizations, he noted.
