Frontal sections are expected to worsen over Primorsky Krai on Friday evening, June 20, and at night on Saturday, June 21. There will be heavy rains. Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Ussuriysky city district, Khasansky, Shkotovsky, Partizansky districts will be particularly affected by the rampant elements.

According to UssurMedia news agency with reference to Primhydromet, 15 to 45 mm of precipitation will fall in 12 hours or less. Very heavy rains (50 mm or more of precipitation in 12 hours) and heavy downpours (up to 30 mm of precipitation in 1 hour) will take place in Vladivostok, as well as in the southern and eastern regions of the region. Up to 110 mm of precipitation may fall in the east of the region.

Floods with sharp rises in the water level by 1-2 m are possible on local rivers, and up to 2.5 m on small rivers on the eastern coast. Rivers may overflow their banks and flood low-lying areas.

In early June, it was reported that the largest flood in 25 years was recorded in the city of Tarko-Sale in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District). The reason is a sharp rise in temperature, which provoked rapid snowmelt. At the same time, the snow cover in the area was very high this year.
