Iran has extended the closure of its airspace until June 21.


The Iranian authorities extended the decision to close the country's airspace until 01:30 Moscow time on June 21. This was announced on June 20 by Majid Akhavan, a representative of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic.
"Due to recent events and for the safety of passengers and flights, the country's airspace will be closed until 02:00 (01:30 Moscow time — approx. TASS) Saturday," the YJC news agency quoted him as saying.
Akhavan noted that the restrictions will remain in force until the situation normalizes.
On June 18, a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Artyom Korenyako, warned that Air Arabia had canceled regular flights from and to Russia until June 30 due to the situation in the Middle East.
On June 16, the Iranian Nour News agency reported an attempt by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to launch rockets near the international airport in Tabriz, in northwestern Iran. It was clarified that the Iranian air defense forces successfully destroyed all "enemy targets", preventing their arrival.
