During the week, more than 1.5 thousand Krasnoyarsk residents suffered from tick bites.

High tick activity persists in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In just one week, the insects attacked 1506 people. There are 277 children among those affected by tick bites.

According to KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, with reference to the sanitary authorities, since the beginning of the season, ticks have bitten 11.6 thousand residents of the region. 55 people were diagnosed with tick—borne encephalitis, 51 with borreliosis, 11 with Siberian tick—borne typhus and one more person with ehrlichiosis.

Earlier it was reported that 22.3 thousand residents have suffered from tick bites in the Sverdlovsk region since the beginning of the season. The region has become a leader in the number of victims of these insects. In total, almost 310 thousand Russians turned to doctors with complaints about ticks. There are also many victims of tick bites in the Kemerovo, Kirov, Tomsk and Chelyabinsk regions, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in Udmurtia. The sanitary authorities assured that they were keeping the situation under control.
