In five samples of water from the Yenisei River taken in the Kazachinsky district, an excess of petroleum products was detected. The head of the district, Yuri Ozerskikh, spoke about the situation at the emergency response site.

According to him, cited by KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the main work on sorbent treatment of the coastline and the river itself is carried out at a distance of about 30 km from the accident site and downstream.

On June 8, during the movement of a motor ship as part of a self-propelled vessel through the Kazachinsky threshold on the Yenisei, the pusher vessel collided with an underwater obstacle and suffered damage to the hull. After that, the ship was partially flooded, and about 30 tons of diesel fuel got into the river.

Rosprirodnadzor specialists took 27 water samples in the Yenisei River from June 9 to 18. Water purification continues. The drinking water that comes from surface water intakes meets the standards. No deaths of fish or birds have been recorded.
