Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. During the week, the Russian army launched six group strikes with precision weapons and drones, hitting enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, fuel and energy infrastructure facilities supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), air defense radar stations, arsenals, production workshops, storage and launch sites for attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations, special operations forces and foreign mercenaries of the Kiev regime.

Units of the Zapad group of forces liberated the village of Moskovka in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of the AFU group, more than 1,480 people, a tank, seven armored fighting vehicles, 58 vehicles and four field artillery guns were lost during the week.

"Over the past week, units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated the manpower and equipment of five mechanized, amphibious assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and three air defense brigades," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down 29 JDAM guided aerial bombs and eight US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, as well as 1,190 aircraft-type UAVs, 562 of them outside the special operation area, from June 14 to 20.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the enemy lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 64,585 drones, 611 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,982 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,413 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 37,058 units of special military vehicles.
