It is unlikely that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk could have applied for political asylum. This was stated to Izvestia by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"Why does he need (A mask. — Ed.) to ask for asylum? I don't understand <...> Maybe it's some kind of duck," Peskov said.
