The Prince performed the song "Father Makhno" as part of the tribute to Lube


Russian musician Prince (real name — Andrey Knyazev) performed the song "Batka Makhno", which originally appeared on the studio album of the Atas collective, released in 1991, as part of the tribute "Lube. 35. Everything begins again...".
"When it came to this project, the tribute, we started choosing songs. And then they remembered about "the dead with scythes are standing along the roads." And I realized that this song was the closest to me," said the Prince.
According to the performer, it was immediately clear that the song "Father Makhno" could be made interesting from the point of view of arrangements and style of the Prince, he also noted that the composition "was very impressive."
"In turn, I would like to wish the Lube group long life, good health and good luck," the Prince concluded.
The tribute "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again..." is a reinterpretation of the band's songs by other musicians in their signature style. The idea to record such an album appeared more than a year ago, and more than 50 performers and bands of various generations and genres took part in the work on it.
The release of the first part of the tribute album "Lube. 35. Everything starts again ..." took place on February 21. So, the first part of the album includes such popular songs of the band as "Battalion Commander" performed by Alexander Marshal, "Taganskaya Station" performed by Garik Sukachev, "There, beyond the mists" performed by Elena Vaenga, "Horse" performed by the Sretensky Monastery choir, "The main thing is that I have you" performed by the band "25/17" and others.
