Greetings to all participants and guests of the XXVIII SPIEF. Its format involves substantive and meaningful discussions on various topics. We are glad that representatives of 140 countries and territories have joined us.

Among the main topics this year are tectonic shifts in the economy, social sphere and demography, crises and regional conflicts, which, unfortunately, we see today in the Middle East.

Among the topics is the development of technology. The question is how to make positive technological changes spread everywhere, allowing countries and cities to reach a new level of development.

About the current economic development of the Russian Federation

Despite the difficult situation, Russia's GDP has been adding more than 4% in the last two years, more than in developed countries. Russia's non-oil and gas GDP grew by almost 5% in 2023. The numbers are significant.
The contribution of the raw material component to the economic dynamics of our country is no longer decisive. Moreover, at the moment it turned out to be negative.

The overall GDP growth was tied not only to the military-industrial complex. Yes, of course, he played a role in this plan. But in two years, agriculture, the industrial complex, logistics, and the IT industry have distinguished themselves with a plus sign. Our economy is becoming more qualitative, complex and multifaceted.

Russia already ranks fourth in terms of GDP in the world and first in Europe.
