The Ministry of Labor announced an increase in the minimum wage in 2026


The level of the minimum wage in Russia in 2026 will be over 27 thousand rubles. This was stated on June 20 by Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, in an interview with RIA Novosti at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
"Taking into account the current dynamics of the wage level, we see that in 2026 the minimum wage will exceed 27 thousand rubles," he said.
According to Kotyakov, the increase will affect about 4.6 million Russians. At the same time, he clarified that project documents are currently being prepared for the implementation of the initiative.
In addition, the minimum wage will be fixed during the preparation of the budget law.
On April 30, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov from the Liberal Democratic Party, announced the development of a bill providing for an increase in the minimum wage to 34 thousand rubles from 2026. He also proposed setting a lower hourly wage for part-time workers to 300 rubles per hour.
