In Estonia, they began to build a defense line near the border with Russia

The Estonian Defense Forces, with the support of the State Defense Investment Center (RKIK), have begun construction of defensive structures in the south-east of the country, near the border with Russia. These facilities will form part of the so-called Baltic Line of Defense. This was announced on June 20 by the State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of ERR.
As specified in the publication, anti-tank trenches are currently being dug in separate sections. By the end of the year, it is planned to build 28 bunkers and dozens of storage sites. We are talking about the first test section of the line. An anti-tank ditch is laid between the border fence and the pillars.
"RKIK reported that 4.4 million euros will be invested in defensive structures on the border this year," the article says.
The ditches are dug in accordance with an analysis of the army's needs. In peacetime, they will be part of the border infrastructure and will help strengthen control. The work is carried out both on state land and on private or municipal plots. In such cases, the government plans to buy land, lease it, or offer alternative plots.
In April, the Estonian State Television and Radio ERR reported that the government of the Baltic Republic would begin building a line of fortifications on the border with Russia in the autumn. First, it is planned to build a strongpoint of 14 bunkers in the northeast of the border strip and four bunkers in the southeast.
