The opening ceremony of the national stand of the Kingdom of Bahrain was held

In 2025, the Kingdom of Bahrain received the honorary status of the guest country of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The opening ceremony of the national stand of the Kingdom of Bahrain took place with the participation of the official delegation of the country, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati;, Russian statesmen and representatives of the business community.

The ceremony was attended by: Minister of Industry and Trade of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullah bin Adel Fatahala; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati; Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova; Chairman of the Board, Director of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev.

Welcoming remarks were made by the officials of Russia and Bahrain, noting the high level of bilateral cooperation, interest in expanding cultural, tourist and economic ties, as well as the importance of the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the forum as a guest country.

Abdullah bin Adel Fatahala stressed that Bahrain sees participation in the SPIEF as a strategic opportunity to deepen cooperation in such areas as industry, transport, digitalization, food security and investment.

Olga Lyubimova focused on the prospects of cultural dialogue between the two countries and expressed confidence in the further expansion of contacts in the field of art, education and creative industries.

Alexander Stuglev noted that the status of a guest country at the SPIEF is not only a sign of a special partnership, but also a practical tool for strengthening business ties and building long-term international cooperation.
