The attempt to close the Russian House in Chisinau comes not from the country's authorities, but from Western states. This was stated on June 20 by Ilan Shor, leader of the Moldovan opposition political bloc Pobeda, in an interview with TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

According to the politician, the initiative of the Moldovan authorities is dictated by external pressure, and Moldovan President Maia Sandu is acting at the behest of foreign partners, acting as a "hired manager."

Shor believes that such measures are aimed at weakening ties between Moldova and Russia, however, according to him, it is impossible to break these ties.

"This is nonsense, because no one will ever be able to break the bond between Moldova and Russia. Russian Russian House is very important today and carries a great mission, because it is the Russian language that unites, it is the Russian culture and much more," he said.

On May 28, the Telegram channel of the opposition political bloc Pobeda reported that the closure of the Russian House in Chisinau does not meet the interests of Moldovan citizens. According to the Pobeda bloc, the republic's leadership "does not care" about the opinion of the people.
