The first Russian simulator for practicing the actions of a pilot during ejection was presented on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025). The Penza designers' project was developed for the initial preparation and testing of the ejection position. Roman Golubev, chief designer of ESVO LLC, told Izvestia about this on June 20.

"It uses domestic components and has an independent system for the comprehensive assessment of the pilot's actions. That is, it is not the instructor who evaluates, but the simulator itself that shows the correctness of the action," Golubev shared.

According to him, the cockpit and dashboard mimic the design of the Su-30SM multirole fighter. The specialist noted that in addition to practicing ejection, the model allows you to study the tethered system, the device of the ejection seat, as well as the principle of boarding the aircraft and interaction with the controls.

It is reported that the simulator is equipped with a system of sensors that monitor the pilot's position. To complete the task, the pilot must fulfill certain conditions.

On March 17, Rostec announced that the Russian prototype Superjet (SJ-100) aircraft made its first flight with domestic PD-8 engines. It is specified that the assessment of the gas dynamic stability of the Russian PD-8 engines in constant and variable modes was carried out during the flight. The engines showed stable operation.
