Soyuzmultfilm proposed to create an image of Putin in Prostokvashino

The idea to present Russian President Vladimir Putin as the hero of the cartoon "Prostokvashino" arose spontaneously during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025). Juliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Soyuzmultfilm Film studio, told TASS about this on June 20.

"We will draw him [Putin]. <... Matroskin and the president will create a wonderful duet to promote our country and our culture," Slashcheva said.

As Slashcheva noted, the film studio also invited the president to visit her on her 90th birthday.

In September, the Central Bank of Russia issued more than 1 million commemorative coins dedicated to the Soviet cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog." In total, three types of such coins appeared in circulation, in particular, two variants with a face value of 25 rubles. They consist of nickel-coated steel and a copper-nickel alloy with a color coating and are printed in 850,000 and 150,000 copies, respectively.
