The first automobile bridge between the DPRK and the Russian Federation will be built in two years.

The construction of the first automobile bridge between Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will be completed in two years. This was announced on June 19 by the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Alexey Chekunkov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"Construction has started according to plan, it is being conducted from two sides and very vigorously, so we expect that it will be built in two years," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the total length of the bridge crossing, including access roads, will be 4.7 km, while the length of the bridge itself will be 1 km, of which 424 meters will belong to Russia, and 581 to the DPRK. The width of the building will be 7 meters. A car checkpoint is being set up near the bridge crossing.
