The United States recognized Russia's superiority over NATO in terms of military training

Russia surpasses NATO in terms of military and technical training, and the North Atlantic Alliance's vision of warfare is outdated. This opinion was expressed on June 18 by former lieutenant colonel of the American army Alex Vershinin.

"So far, the NATO leadership does not seem to have adapted its doctrine, equipment and training to the new conditions. <...> At the latest NATO exercises in the Baltic States, French soldiers were still clearing trenches in large, grouped groups using small arms. <...> Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the Russian army uses drones at every level." Vershinin noted in an article for Responsible Statecraft.

The Russian army is professionally prepared for the new conditions, the ex-colonel believes. The armed forces of the Russian Federation have mastered advanced technical tools and modern combat operations, while NATO relies only on superiority in quantity and quality over the enemy, he said.

The maneuvers are taking place outside the United States, France and the United Kingdom for the first time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the heads of international news agencies on the sidelines of the SPIEF on June 19, said that the country is constantly improving the defensive capabilities of the army.
