RDIF signs agreement with SHINEC Corporation for joint investments


The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Russia) and the Vietnamese investment corporation SHINEC have agreed on joint investments in logistics, port infrastructure, mineral processing, warehouse and industrial real estate in Russia and Vietnam. The corresponding agreement was signed on June 20 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
"The partnership with SHINEC opens up new opportunities for expanding investment cooperation between Russia and Vietnam based on the principles of sustainable development and technological innovation. The implementation of joint projects in strategically important sectors of the economy will contribute to the creation of new jobs, infrastructure development, sustainable economic growth and increased global competitiveness of our countries," said Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
It is specified that this agreement helps to strengthen bilateral economic ties and increase the volume of mutual investments between the countries. In Vietnam, SHINEC Corporation is a leader in the construction and management of industrial parks and clusters that have minimal environmental impact through the use of modern technologies based on ESG principles.
It is specified that the RDIF and SHINEC will also focus on organizing an exchange of experience between specialists from the two countries in order to use advanced technologies in joint projects, create research and innovation programs, and promote Russian and Vietnamese companies in global markets.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the heads of international news agencies on the sidelines of the SPIEF on June 18, said that Russia's cooperation with the countries of Southeast Asia is steadily developing. He noted that the states have many joint projects, including in the energy sector, and are ready to expand their cooperation in the field of hydrocarbons.
