Switzerland predicted a catastrophe for Ukraine due to a change in US priorities

Washington's unwillingness to supply new weapons to Kiev and finance them could turn into a disaster for Ukraine. This was reported on June 19 by the newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung (NZZ).

"Americans, for a long time the most important supporters of Ukrainians, have made a U—turn. Since January, Washington has not announced a single new aid package <...> For Ukraine, this means a catastrophe," RIA Novosti quoted the newspaper as saying.

The publication notes that despite the doubled funding from the European Union (EU) for Kiev, the amount of aid received from the United States cannot be fully compensated.

For example, as specified in the publication, Europe will not be able to supply Ukraine with ATACMS tactical missiles and American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
