The Russian military destroyed a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in the special operation zone

Gunners of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces have identified and destroyed an infantry stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 20.

The operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Russian Armed Forces discovered the positions of the Ukrainian militants, after which they transmitted information about the location of the enemy to the calculation of the towed Msta-B howitzer. The gunners quickly aimed the gun at the target and opened fire with 152-mm high-explosive fragmentation ammunition. The Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters resisted using small arms, however, the enemy was nevertheless destroyed.

"The battalion's task is to gain a foothold on this line, thereby ensuring the advancement of the other regiment," said battalion commander Kadyr Muftazin.
