Small emissions of fuel oil were detected on the coast of Anapa after the accident with the wreck of the tankers Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 in December last year. This was announced on May 19 at the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.

"A small fraction of petroleum products was discovered and promptly removed by municipal teams during the daily morning monitoring," the operstaba said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that the cleaning work was carried out on the Central beach of Anapa, as well as near the coastline of the village of Dzhemete.

The head of Rosprirodnadzor, Svetlana Radionova, in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), noted that the situation on the beaches of Anapa remains tense. She also noted that issues related to the disposal of sand removed during the aftermath of the accident are discussed weekly.
