A quarter of Russian companies (26%) are ready to hire young applicants under the age of 18. These are mostly the children of employees who want to gain work experience (36%). The results of the relevant survey were shared with Izvestia on June 20 by the Work Services.<url>" and "SberPodbor".

In addition, 21% of employers strive to foster loyalty to the company among young employees so that they can return after school, university or college.

The same number (21%) hire employees under the age of 18 in linear positions, using their abilities, among which 14% of respondents single out digital literacy, which makes them a valuable asset in the field of modern technology.

At the same time, 7% of respondents mainly consider teenagers for temporary positions, including seasonal work, and in most companies (74%) they are not ready to hire underage specialists.

They cite the lack of suitable vacancies (70%), unsuitable working conditions (23%) and their own concerns about possible legal risks (7%) as the main reason.

Analysts of the Enjoy Camp summer educational camps shared with Izvestia the results of a survey, according to which about half of Russians allow their children to work during school years. On April 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows teenagers from 14 to 18 years old to be employed on weekends and holidays during the summer holidays. This law will enter into force on September 1, 2025.
