Dmitry Zavorin has been appointed Consul General of Russia in Wuhan, People's Republic of China (PRC). This was reported on June 19 in the Telegram channel of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"By order of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Ivanovich Zavorin was appointed Consul General of the Russian Federation in Wuhan, China," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel.

According to the press service of the ministry, since 1992, Zavorin has held various positions in the central office of the ministry and abroad.

Earlier, on January 27, the Russian government ordered the opening of the Russian Consulate General in Wuhan. It was clarified that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to establish the staffing level of the Consulate General and approve its schedule.
