Seven Russians were on board a tanker that caught fire in the Gulf of Oman after a collision with the vessel Front Eagle. This was announced on June 19 by the press service of the Department of the Situation and Crisis Center of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"According to the Russian Consulate General in Dubai, seven Russian citizens were part of the crew of the tanker Adalynn, which caught fire on June 17 after a collision with the ship Front Eagle in the Gulf of Oman," the Telegram channel says.
It is specified that the incident occurred 24 nautical miles from the coast of the country. No one was injured in the collision. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry center, the staff of the Consulate General maintains constant contact with the Russian part of the crew and the port agent in the city of Khor Fakkan.
Earlier, on June 17, Coast Guard officers of the National Guard of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) evacuated 24 crew members of the tanker Adalynn after a collision between two vessels. At that time, it was reported that the sailors were taken to the port of Khor Fakkan by rescue boats.
