The prosecutor asked that Svetlana Agibalova and Vladislav Remnev be found guilty and sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and 5.5 years in the case of vandalism at the apartment of Izvestia war correspondent Valentin Trushnin. This was announced on June 19 by a source of Izvestia.

It is specified that the case is being considered in the Shcherbinsky District Court of Moscow. The defendants were charged with vandalism and obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists.

The incident occurred in October 2023. On October 18, a drawing of a pentagram with a pig's head and candles placed next to it were found near the door of the Izvestia military commander's apartment. Trushnin himself was not at home, he was on a business trip to Israel.

Criminal cases were initiated on this fact. On the same day, the suspects were arrested. It was noted that the attackers had their arrest extended several times.

Commenting on the incident, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Kiev regime was carefully preparing an assassination attempt on Trushnin.
