Kostroma Region signed five more agreements at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

There are more than 5 billion rubles of investments and about two thousand modern high-performance jobs. This is the result of the second day of the Kostroma Region delegation's work at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Cooperation agreements have been signed with St. Petersburg and the Moscow Region. Documents on cooperation with Rosagroleasing and Sberbank have been signed. And the largest and even epochal agreement with Sovcombank.

All projects make a serious contribution to improving people's lives through the creation of new high—paying jobs and obtaining additional revenue to the regional budget for the organization of social programs.

Thus, a center for fintech services and data processing will be created in the regional center. It will unite the economic interests, material, labor and financial resources of the bank's shareholders. Investments will amount to more than 4.7 billion rubles. 1,890 new jobs will be created for the residents of the region. The company will build an eight-storey building with an area of 60,000 square meters. It is planned to house offices, a conference area, a meeting room, a bank branch with an operating room, a fitness center and a dining room.

Future employees are trained by Kostroma State University, among others. The Bank has upgraded an entire university building, creating all the conditions for training top-class specialists in the IT field.

"We hear the region, the region hears us, and we can solve big problems together. And, of course, everything comes from the leader. When there is a clear will for the region to develop, receive the necessary investments, and when the first person of the region clearly broadcasts to all interested parties, only then everything works. Governor Sergey Konstantinovich and I really have a common vision on a personal level of what needs to be done," said Sergey Khotimsky. An agreement was also signed at the forum by Rosagroleasing, the absolute leader among companies engaged in agricultural leasing.

Thanks to favorable conditions, agricultural enterprises in the region will have the opportunity to expand their capacity to modernize agricultural machinery fleets and improve their technical equipment. The agreement with Sberbank covers a wide range of areas. The region has long-standing partnerships with the bank and has implemented major projects in various fields of activity. Among them is the modernization of the transport system. Thanks to the cooperation, the region has purchased new buses, which has significantly increased the satisfaction of residents with public transport. And in hospitals in Kostroma and large regional centers, a voice recognition system has been introduced, which has greatly facilitated the work of doctors. Two more important inter-regional agreements have been signed with the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg. The basic tasks of cooperation in the field of trade and economic relations, investment and social policy have been defined.
