The market of fitness services in Russia has grown by almost a quarter in a year

The growth rate of the fitness services market in Russia over the past year and a half has remained high (above 22%), with a turnover of more than 21.9 billion rubles. The increase in the receipt provided about 14% of the market growth, and incoming traffic continues to decrease. This was stated by the founder of the DDX franchise, Ivan Sitnikov, during the DDX press conference in honor of the opening of the 100th fitness club of the chain. The event was held in Moscow on June 19.
Moscow and the Moscow region, according to the network, are still the places where fitness services are most in demand: in the capital region, the market grew by 26%, average receipts — by 7%. The region provided 59% of the growth of the Russian market in absolute terms.
Since DDX entered the Russian fitness market in 7 years, it has grown from 10% to 16%, with half of this increase provided by the franchise.
— We see that the Russian Federation market is growing globally, and this is very important. It will still grow 3-4 times, — experts of the fitness network predict.
During the event, the founder of the franchise, Ivan Sitnikov, also noted that Russian fitness clubs are not inferior to world ones in terms of quality, having a wide range at a lower subscription cost.
He spoke about plans to expand the corporate business through "secret projects" that go beyond the usual fitness. According to the entrepreneur, DDX had previously implemented professional training courses for fitness trainers and offered video workouts using a mobile application. Attendance at the annual DDX Fitness Fest in 2025 will be 40 thousand people.
