Sber announced the European leadership in the number of transactions

For the ninth year in a row, Sberbank has demonstrated the best results in terms of the number of transactions among the largest acquirers in Europe. Kirill Tsarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, announced this at the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

In 2024, the number of transactions at Sberbank amounted to 52.1 billion, which is 10.8% more than a year earlier, and almost 4 times more than the nearest European competitor Nexi, which amounted to 14.3 billion transactions.

In addition, according to The Nilson Report, in the ranking of the largest online acquirers, Sber ranks third in Europe for the second year in a row with 5 billion online transactions, second only to specialized players: JPMORGAN (6.13 billion, almost 100% online) and Adyen (6.1 billion, 57% online online). The number of online transactions at Sberbank is 9.6% of the total number of payments, which shows an increase compared to previous periods.
