Foreign companies can return to Russia if certain conditions are met without harming Russian enterprises. This was announced on June 19 by Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

According to him, foreign companies should not harm Russian companies that have invested in the country's import substitution. He noted that first it is necessary to give domestic enterprises the opportunity to complete investment projects, only then to consider competitors.

"In this regard, we should not put Russian companies that responded to the call of the state and invested in import substitution," Katyrin said.

At the same time, Katyrin stressed that the market should not be closed, since there must be competition. However, foreign companies will be able to exist in Russia if they locate their production here, use Russian raw materials and local labor.

Earlier, on May 28, Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, said that the main condition for the return of foreign brands to Russia is to take into account the interests of the country. In addition, he stressed that duty or other conditions for foreign companies should be established in such a way that Russian businesses could continue their work and compete with foreign businesses.
