The exchange of bodies of those killed in the SVR between Russia and Ukraine has now been completed, but Moscow is ready to continue this process. This was told to the Izvestia correspondent by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of SPIEF 2025.

"We have already handed over (the bodies — Ed.). The exchange has now been completed. And yesterday the president said he was ready to continue," he explained.

Further work in this direction, according to Peskov, needs to be coordinated.

"Because now the proportion is obvious. We received only a few dozen bodies of our fighters. Therefore, this is all a subject for discussion at the next round," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.

He also noted that a personal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump could be effective.

"There is an understanding that it (the meeting — Ed.) can be and will be useful only in case of good preparation. Bye… The preparation should be the result of expert conversations and the work of experts," he said.

Peskov added that preparations for the meeting between the two leaders are not currently in an active stage, but they have not been put on pause either.
