ROSSETI and Avtodor have agreed to jointly develop roadside infrastructure. The corresponding agreement was signed at SPIEF 2025 by Andrey Ryumin, CEO of Rosseti, and Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Management Board of Avtodor.

The parties have concluded an agreement on cooperation on the issues of power supply to service facilities in the territories of multifunctional zones (MFZ). Each such facility has significant potential for further development, Rosseti emphasized.

Ryumin noted that ROSSETI is involved in many highway development projects, reconstructing networks in their transit areas, and providing technological connection to new roadside facilities.

"The signed agreement will reduce the time required to create transport infrastructure and provide motorists with modern service within the boundaries of multifunctional zones," said the head of Rosseti.

Petushenko recalled that high-quality expressways "ensure the development of tourism in the regions and the growth of their economies as a whole." However, in order to make the most of the opportunities provided by the transport infrastructure, it is necessary to create a comfortable user environment, he stressed.

"For this purpose, Avtodor is developing a network of multifunctional road service areas. This is a whole range of services for drivers and passengers. The signed agreement will improve the efficiency of this work," Petushenko said.

It is noted that the creation of the MFZ meets the objectives of the national projects "Infrastructure for Life" and "Tourism and Hospitality", as well as the implementation of the project "Electric vehicle and hydrogen car". In addition, joint work will facilitate the speedy execution of the instructions and instructions of the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation regarding the simultaneous commissioning of highways and road service facilities within the boundaries of the MFZ.

MFZ represent territories of 5-30 hectares, which can accommodate many service facilities. Such zones are focused on servicing not only drivers and passengers, but also local communities in remote areas where, due to the low population density, it is difficult to develop high-quality services.
