- Russian Railways and VK have agreed to jointly develop digital services
The Russian Railways Holding Company (RZD) and the VK platform have agreed to jointly develop digital services for the purpose of interacting with passengers, the Federal Tax Service (FTS), as well as for data storage. The corresponding agreement was signed on June 19 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025) by Vladimir Kiriyenko, CEO of VK, and Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways.
It is noted that the VK Tax Compliance tax monitoring platform will be used to develop interaction systems with the Federal Tax Service. In particular, integration with AIS "Tax-3" will be carried out. Russian Railways will also be able to optimize transaction times in the next-generation automated control system "Express" due to the middleware class solution for accelerating Tarantool IT systems and data processing from VK Tech.
Russian Railways may start using VK Messenger and VK CXhub marketing platform to interact with passengers. It is expected that the relevant services can be used to expand online sales and develop customer experience.
In particular, the organizations will continue to cooperate in the framework of import substitution based on VK Tech technological solutions for the implementation of VK WorkSpace corporate mail, S3-based data storage, as well as business process analytics using VK Process Mining.
In addition, it is planned to expand the use of VK educational and social services and integrate them into the Russian Railways social and human resources platform.
Earlier that day, Kiriyenko signed a cooperation agreement with Dmitry Dubynin, General Director of the National Payment Card System (NSPK). It was clarified that it implies the implementation by users of the MAX digital platform of money transfers through the Fast Payment System (SBP).
