Users of the Active Citizen project will choose the best tourist routes of the "Show Moscow!" contest by July 14. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.

According to tradition, Muscovites will determine the winners in each of the 12 districts, and the jury will select the five most creative ideas. "Participants from six to 87 years old sent more than 800 applications to the competition. Compared to last year, their number has increased by a third," Sergunina said.

According to the vice mayor, the most popular topics were history, culture, architecture and ecology. "The authors presented different formats of excursions — from walking, cycling and river trips to metro trips," she said. Most of the proposed routes run through the Central, Eastern and Northeastern administrative districts.

In particular, during one of the walks, it will be possible to take a tram ride from the Severnoye Medvedkovo district to the Ostankino district with stops at temples, parks and the Rostokinsky Aqueduct. The participants of the tour will be able to find out where the Babushkinsky district gets its name from and see the zodiac signs from metal structures.

Another tour will allow you to plunge into the world of Soviet cinema. Those interested will get acquainted with the locations in the south-west of the capital, which have many times become living sets for legendary films, including the films "Moscow does not believe in tears" and "You never dreamed ...".

The finalists will be determined by the experts in the jury. It included representatives of the Museum of Moscow, the tourism industry, the capital's departments and the winners of previous seasons.

The "Show Moscow!" contest has been held since 2020. During this time, its participants have developed more than 2.5 thousand author routes around the capital.
