There are disagreements in the US administration about the strategy towards Iran. This was stated by Stanislav Tarasov, an expert on the problems of the Middle East and the Caucasus, in an interview with Izvestia on June 19, commenting on the Israeli attack against the background of the lack of evidence of Tehran's work on the creation of nuclear weapons.

"There were disagreements in the administration because Israeli intelligence indicated Iran's readiness to start building an atomic bomb. Now, the fact that this issue has been raised in the Senate demonstrates that there are disagreements in the National Security Council about further actions," the source said.

According to the expert, the approach of the US National Intelligence Service, which assumes a more cautious attitude towards the Iranian threat, has every chance of becoming dominant. In addition, he noted that the report may have an impact on the intention of the American side to enter the conflict and strike Iran.

Mark Warner, deputy head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said on June 18 that the US National Intelligence Service had warned senators that no evidence of Iran's work on developing nuclear weapons had been found. He recalled that back in March, the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, claimed that the Tehran authorities had not taken any action to create a bomb.
