The PSB talked about the role of women in the development of the financial system

With the growing number of women in the investment sector, the financial system is becoming more flexible, inclusive and future-oriented. This was stated by Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at PSB, during the session "The Future is being created now: how Venture Capital is changing the market, people and roles", held as part of the business program of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum at SPIEF.

"We are seeing an increase in the number of women involved in investing, including in venture capital instruments. On the one hand, this is confirmed by the data from the sixth study of the Index of Savings and Investment Activity of Russians, and on the other hand, by the activity of participants in our flagship educational project "Women's Leadership in Investment." At the same time, the majority of the female audience remains committed to classic investment products and opts for tools that guarantee sustainable development in the future," Vera Podguzova noted.

According to the expert, for a systemic breakthrough and multiple growth of female investors in venture projects, it is necessary to create accessible and understandable educational tracks that remove psychological and social barriers inherent in a female audience. Another important step towards involving women in venture capital investment may be the development of new tools, primarily digital financial assets. Vera Podguzova told about this at the panel session "Women's Capital: a driver of economic growth".

"We see great potential in the CFA, which can significantly increase women's participation in the capitalization of the Russian market. Therefore, as part of our project "Women's Leadership in Investment", we have launched the online course "Investing in CFA: the first steps", and we are already seeing its demand," the speaker noted. The CFA market in Russia in 2025 amounted to more than 290 billion rubles. This indicator has grown almost 7 times over the year, and the number of users of CFA platforms has increased by 50% since the beginning of 2025," explained Podguzova.
