VTB told about the preferences of entrepreneurs when opening deposits

In the first five months of this year, entrepreneurs conducted 4.7 million transactions to place funds in deposits. This is a record figure, Denis Bortnikov, VTB's Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board, said at SPIEF 2025.

According to him, medium and small business companies traditionally prefer to deposit money for short periods of time. More than half of the transactions (53%) of the total number of transactions are concluded on one day, another 28% — for a period of 2 to 7 days, and 14% — from 8 days to 1 month. 5% is accounted for by deposits opened for more than a month.

"In the current market conditions, medium and small business companies strive to maintain high liquidity while using favorable interest rates to generate stable income," said Bortnikov.
