More than 50% of the business has switched to domestic information solutions

More than half of large companies (54%) integrate domestic information solutions into their projects, and only 14% consider import substitution solely as a forced reaction to geopolitical changes, according to the study "Features of automation and Digitalization of large Russian Businesses" conducted by T1 IT holding and the RUSSOFT Association.
"The results of the study clearly demonstrate the shifting focus of large business requirements. Security guarantees and the confirmed expertise of developers come to the fore — this is an important signal for the market. It speaks to the maturity of corporate users who are looking not just for a service provider, but for a technology partner capable of solving specific and often unique tasks at all stages of the IT project lifecycle, from consulting to support," said Alexey Fetisov, CEO of T1 IT Holding.
Among the serious barriers to rapid migration to domestic systems, the study participants most often cited the high cost of new software products and the problem of their compatibility with the existing digital infrastructure, the study notes.
The shortage of qualified personnel, the difficulties of operating open source solutions, and the lack of a domestic technological base, such as a server, were also cited as significant factors.
On June 18, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, during the plenary session "The Role of SMEs in achieving new national goals" at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), stated that the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector shows the best adaptation to new challenges and uncertainties.
