SpaceX's Starship launch vehicle exploded during a test

The heavy launch vehicle Starship 36 of American entrepreneur Elon Musk's SpaceX company exploded during a static fire test. This was reported on June 19 by Fox 26 Houston TV channel.

"The authorities stated that SpaceX's Starship 36 suffered a catastrophic accident and exploded just after 23:00," the publication says.

The rocket underwent static firing tests at the Starbase test site. During the live broadcast, the first stage of the accelerator suddenly exploded, and a serious fuel leak began in the second stage. After that, Starship 36 went out of control and exploded upon re-entry into the atmosphere.

Footage from the scene shows how the nose of the rocket suddenly opens, after which the image on the screen flashes white for a moment. Then the whole area is covered by bursting flames.

On May 27, it was reported that the Starship spacecraft broke up during the ninth test flight and burned up in the atmosphere during its return to Earth. The ship launched from the Starbase site in south Texas and was scheduled to land in the Gulf of Mexico.
