The air defense forces repelled a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the territory of the Volgograd region. This was announced on June 19 by the governor of the region Andrey Bocharov.

"Last night, the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense repelled a massive UAV attack on the territory of the Volgograd region in the Kalachevsky, Gorodishchensky districts and in the southern part of Volgograd," Andrei Bocharov, the governor of the region, was quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the regional administration.

It is specified that the drones were intercepted and neutralized. As a result of the attack, no one was injured, and no damage was found to the facilities.

On June 19, the Governor of the Smolensk Region, Vasily Anokhin, announced that the air defense forces and electronic warfare (EW) systems had eliminated 12 Ukrainian drones in the Pochinkovsky and Roslavl districts of the region.
