- The Federation Council criticized Callas for her words about the alleged threat from the Russian Federation.

On June 19, Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, gave an ironic assessment to the words of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, who noted the alleged "360-degree" threat from the Russian Federation to the world.
"European politicians have some kind of mania about 360 degrees. To [Annalena] Burbok (former German Foreign Minister.— Ed.) called on the West to turn 360 degrees, which shocked everyone with its stupidity, now Callas has discovered a 360-degree threat from Russia," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also mentioned French President Emmanuel Macron, who "sees the Russian military at the very gates of Paris," and also noted that such statements indicate an increase in the degree of insanity among European politicians.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 19 that allegations of Russia's intention to attack Europe are incredible lies and nonsense. He noted that it is convenient for Western elites to use words about the alleged threat from Russia to build their domestic policy.
