Novak and OPEC Secretary General held a meeting of Russia's energy dialog at the SPIEF

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and OPEC Secretary General Haytham al-Ghaith held the tenth meeting of the Russia–OPEC energy dialogue at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025). This was announced on June 18 by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"Russia highly appreciates the effectiveness of cooperation within OPEC+. Thanks to regular and trusting working contacts, including with the OPEC secretariat, it is possible to compare positions in advance, develop agreed approaches, and make decisions at our ministerial meetings that take into account the interests of each OPEC+ member," Novak's office quotes in the Telegram channel.

The discussion touched upon developments in the global oil and energy markets, including in connection with the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. The press service noted that al-Gais also highly appreciated the energy dialogue with the Russian Federation and stressed the importance of its partnership with OPEC at all levels.

Earlier, the topic of medicine and health was discussed at SPIEF 2025. According to the scientists, modern advanced technologies give patients all the opportunities for a full life, and Russia is getting closer to drug sovereignty. SPIEF 2025 is on June 18 and will last until June 21.
