Russians will be able to make payments using smart speakers

A pilot project for paying bills using a smart speaker has been launched in Russia. This technology was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) by the National Payment Card System (NSPK) together with MTS Bank. Dmitry Dubynin, CEO of NSPK, told about this on the sidelines of the forum in an interview with Izvestia.
The column can be ordered to pay for communication services, then the transaction will take place using a fast payment system, he explained. Before that, you need to link your bank account to your device via a mobile payment service.
According to the head of the NSPK, this approach is the future.: The assistant services can perform a certain understandable task for the user at a moment.
"Now we will look at how the system works. The technology is still at the prototype stage, but it is planned to expand the list of available services in the future. Users will be able to use the smart speaker to pay for housing and communal services, kindergarten, and school. We have designed a prototype to pay for communication, but in fact it can be anything. It all depends on people's interest. Perhaps the bankers will come up with new ideas on what could be done," Dubynin said.
According to him, the voice script will help people save the most valuable thing — time. Thanks to this technology, users will be able to easily make monthly household payments without being distracted from their daily chores.
