The most popular used cars in Russia in May are named

The Lada 2107 sedan retained the title of leader of the Russian secondary car market in May. At the end of spring, Russians bought 12.1 thousand. "sevens," says the report of the analytical agency Autostat, which was received by Izvestia on June 19.

The second place in the rating remained with the Lada 2114 Samara-2 hatchback (9.6 thousand units), followed by Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris (9.5 thousand units each), followed by Ford Focus, which reached 8.5 thousand units in May. The top ten was completed by Lada 2170 (Priora), Lada 4x4 (Niva), Toyota Corolla, Lada 2190 (Granta) and Toyota Camry.

Analysts estimated that compared to April, all ten leading models showed a decrease ranging from 1.3% (for Hyundai Solaris) to 9.6% (for Lada 4x4). In relation to May 2024, all of them are also "in the red." The "seven" (-1.6%) were the least affected, while the "fourteenth" (-12.7%) were the most affected.

In total, in May, residents of the Russian Federation purchased 491 thousand used passenger cars, which is 3.7% less than a month earlier and 4.3% lower than in May last year.

Lada (126.3 thousand units) retains leadership in the brand structure of the secondary market, followed by Toyota (48.2 thousand units), Kia (28 thousand units), Hyundai (26.6 thousand units) and Nissan (21.8 thousand units). In the first five months of 2025, Russians became owners of 2 million 266.3 thousand used passenger cars, which is 0.8% more than in January-May last year.
