Nutritionist, PhD Margarita Koroleva said that people with allergies to birch pollen should stop eating strawberries.

"In the presence of such an immune response, strawberries can support an allergic reaction and create certain problems for a person. People with similar difficulties should avoid this berry," she said in an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, June 18.

According to the nutritionist, allergies can manifest themselves through skin reactions, although the berry itself, if it is natural and well washed, is not capable of provoking acute diseases.

Koroleva also warned about the risks of using imported strawberries with additives and recommended checking the origin of the berry, requesting documents from the seller, and carefully examining the appearance of the berry.
