Prolongation of workers' working lives discussed at SPIEF

The project "Genetic Health of workers" identifies dangerous diseases at an early stage and prolongs the working life of workers. This was announced on June 18 by Olesya Sagaidak, Deputy General Director of EVOGEN, researcher at the National Research Medical Center of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
As part of the project, a genetic study is conducted first, after which low health indicators are identified, which need to be addressed. Each participant is given a roadmap that outlines which examinations are recommended and which doctors to visit.
"We are not just conducting genetic research, we are conducting the most extensive DNA research. This is a genome—wide study, that is, we decode every letter of the three and two billion pairs that are in the DNA," added Sagaidak.
According to Sagaidak, the demand for such research is growing. It is specified that since 2019, more than 50,000 employees have participated. According to her, the demand for such research is growing, and after completing the project, employees tend to take serious care of their health and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Earlier in the day, at the SPIEF, scientists said that new technologies are currently returning patients to all the possibilities of a full life, and Russia is getting closer to drug sovereignty. It was reported that domestic prosthetics technologies are currently at such a level that they allow you to practice motocross.
